When my jet setting friend Matthew complained about an aching back, I knew that there was only one destination for his painful parts - Chiropractor extraordinaire Dr. Jo Ann Weinrib & Body Central.

A couple of months back, Dr. Weinrib had worked her chiropractic magic on me. Id been plagued with a creaky back for years along with a raging case of TMJ (Temporo Mandibular Joint Disorder) which caused me to grind my teeth in my sleep and engage in otherwise unappealing night time traditions.

Dr. Weinrib deftly performed a "Jaw Release" treatment on me which involved ultrasound, a moist heat application to my neck, a compress over my eyes, and some back and cranial adjustments, yummy smelling aromatherapy, and a gentle facial massage. Yup. There were definitely some odd moments and cracking sounds as she realigned the misaligned parts of my body, but the results were incredible. I then indulged in a massage and blissfully floated out of this sunny space on University Place.

Oh, and Matthew? His experience was equally favorable. He liked the fact that Dr. Weinrib really listened to him, before she began his treatment. He felt as though she heard everything that he had to say, and then chose the best course of treatment. One caveat - He did mention some aches and pains the next day, which can often be a side effect of chiropractic treatment and massage.
